| The head on this kite (model WEI15) is absolutely gorgeous. Notice the vibrant traditional Chinese red tones that adorn this magnificent work of art. The red tones are complimented by tones of cobalt blue, yellow, orange, white, black and several shades of green. All of our Imperial Dragon Kites are hand-painted by time honored craftsmen. The dimensions of the dragons head are as follows: 17 inches LONG by 11 inches WIDE by 10 inches TALL.

Featured here is a flying work of art! Specifically, this enormous festival scale traditional Chinese dragon kite (model WEI15) measures a spectacular 52 feet in length!! The color of this kite is a vibrant traditional Chinese red with numerous adornments of other colors throughout. The head of this dragon measures 17 inches LONG by 11 inches WIDE by 10 inches TALL. The length of the tail is 49 feet with 15 inch segments between the discs of the dragon's spine. The width of the tail is 30 inches. The ends of each of the 49 tail sections are capped with feathers that flutter gracefully in the wind. The WEI15 can be flown or placed on display as a prominent work of art.
AERODYNAMICS
Dragon kites have been flown in traditional Chinese ceremonies for centuries to symbolize power and prosperity. These enormous kites are both beautiful and fully functional. In fact, the kite featured in this auction can be flown in wind as light as 2 miles/hour. These kites are 100% crafted by hand using only traditional Chinese tools and implements. Each kite is hand painted with the utmost of precision. No kite leaves the factory without undergoing a rigorous quality inspection. The WEI15 is a collector's item and there are very few of these kites available on the market. |
